I live in a quiet village on the Mediterranean island of Malta, where I design, create, and curate every piece you see here.
I’ve always had an insatiable desire to create. As a child, I’d stay up late crafting — unable to rest until whatever I was making was complete. Fast forward to my forties, and not much has changed. I’m still making, still dreaming, and always full of ideas.
I founded Olé Macramé during the quiet of COVID lockdowns. With life slowed down, I finally had the time to teach myself the craft I’d been admiring for so long. Learning something new felt incredible — and as I started sharing my work online, people began asking to buy it. The rest, as they say, is history.
Launching my own website shortly afterwards felt like a dream. I was building a brand that allowed me to work flexibly from home, stay close to my children, and express my creativity in a way that felt deeply fulfilling.
